Those 5K layoffs are just the ones the Union knows about, and they are direct layoffs. It's not the full extent of the direct layoffs, and it does not include the scummy "you're a bad employee so we might have to fire you soon" tactics.
- smackfu 12y agoGiven that, it's still a huge gap between 5k and 100k.
- hvs 12y agoIt takes a long time to layoff 100k employees. Give it time.
- Huggernaut 12y agoCringely said, and I quote, "One in four IBMers reading this column will probably start looking for a new job next week. Those employees will all be gone by the end of February" so he does not have a lot of time to be right.
