I'll throw in my two cents: 99% of the blogs change no more than once a day. What is the point of needless complexity, databases, settings, etc. I like simple, single script that rewrites my content for the web since I still have my content on disk. I can easily grep for content. Disclaimer: I have a static generated blog.
