It's not going to help you solve any underlying problems, but it will at least lead you to one big conclusion: sex doesn't have to be a big deal. You'll do it, realize, "hey, that was fun... but not as big of a deal as I thought." That isn't to say that sex isn't important, emotional, or connecting -- just that most of the time it's mediocre, and not worth the build up that you put into it. I suppose that could be summed up in the "difference btwn sex and making love" cliche.
