I upvoted your comment because I don't have a very good response to it. Nice one! I guess I'd place my fear of AI at a level slightly lower than the rise of a new type of bacteria or a new virulent flu. I figure, those forms of life have the basics figured out. I don't see AI as having replicating and "feeding" itself figured out yet. So far it has depended on human infrastructure, even in the case of simple computer viruses. But yeah, that's a really good point.
