I went for ICL (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implantable_collamer_lens https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implantable_collamer_lens) - the correction needed was outside the safe range for LASIK (-8 at max according to my doctors and then the results can be .. questionable)
