I love this idea. I used to use an electric mattress pad to have a nice toasty bed to get into. Combining that low-tech device with motion sensors and wifi connectivity is outstanding. Just the ability to automatically log when you go to bed and when you get up is nice, from a lifelogging perspective. Add the ability to have a much more accurate picture of when you're asleep and when you're awake than any wrist band could provide, and couple that with the alarm functionality. Very neat.
