Also:

How about Unity3D? Not new, not patentable, but Mono and C# was an ideal choice. It mattered to them, it mattered to investors.
- asp_net 12y agoYou're right, my arguments don't apply to all kind of businesses. The same is correct for Xamarin for example. But if you take JetBrains – no one cares how WebStorm or ReSharper are built internally, as long as they do the job.
