I wonder even more if the banks have learned the lesson of not making loans to people who can't afford them? And whether the banking regulators will have the balls to stop the fraudster when they start demanding fraudulent appraisals from appraisers (as the banks and mortgage brokers did in the bubble years) and making liars loans. Also note that while housing start have recovered since the low post-crash, they are still at historically low levels in the US.
