- joeyh 12y agoIn fact I posted this while trying to find that flagkilled thread. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8930544 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8930544 I'm looking forward to being flagkilled.
- dang 12y agoWe've unkilled that post and are burying this one as a duplicate.
- mjg59 12y agoYou've unkilled that post, but left it buried on the third page.
- polemic 12y agoLooks like it's back now =)
- dang 12y agoYes, what we usually do when there is a tug of war between upvotes and flags is prevent the flags from killing the post so active discussion can continue, but not turn off the flags altogether. This happens on controversial posts where the community is divided, and it's not uncommon to see large fluctuations in rank under the tug of war.
- mjg59 12y agoYour voting system actively discourages discussion of topics that upset portions of the community, which results in many people not being exposed to those topics at all. Does this seem like a desirable outcome?
- polemic 12y agoGood call. Be nice if there was a way to transfer karma.
