Ask HN: Developer (Web but not only) shop runs by student, why not?
Hi everybody,
when I was a student I was so lucky to find a job as free lancer developer, it was a blast, enough money, work when I needed, wonderful boss.
It was really helpful to me either as a person that as developer.
I was looking to build a small association of developers, mostly student I guess, when the member can just log into github, or something similar, close an issue, say how many hours the work on such issues and get paid.
The point is that everything will be managed by a grew up, and the projects are going to be fairly small, so in case of big mess up I can still clean it up by myself and still make the customer happy.
This definitely require a lot of good management, but I think that for a college student making 20$/hr working from home, any time she likes can be a good deal.
The real problem is to find nice developers/students and small enough projects (at least in the starting time.)
What you think are the biggest problem in such idea ?
