I wonder how this compares with valgrind's helgrind tool and Microsoft's CHESS tool. AFAIK both of those attempt to find bugs due to improper use of mutex'es around shared variables. I wonder if this tool can go beyond that to find (for example) bugs in lock-free implementations, or in general using atomic variables as communication between threads.
