- pjmlp 12y agoPeople forget that if one is forced to re-write the code, it might as well just use another language.
- ufmace 12y agoI mostly agree with Joel there. It's worth pointing out that if doing a from-scratch rewrite of your end-user app is a bad idea, then doing a from-scratch rewrite of your platform that will force all of your users to do from-scratch rewrites of their apps must be orders of magnitude worse.
- kamaal 12y agoIts a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. You have to evolve to survive. If you don't don't you may stay alive for a while. But you will die slowly.
