I then resized my browser to half the screen width (which in my case is 800 pixels) and was able to read it comfortably. But the comfortable size was still much more than 100 characters per line! (If you count spaces. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to count spaces. But even if you don't count spaces, the first line of the article on my half-screen browser had 102 non-space characters.)
