Based on what Google's implying with this Glass news, seems it wasn't happy with the product and wants to change course. Now that it's an actual product division and they're killing the current iteration, I'd expect we don't hear anything for a long while until there's something new.
- psbp 12y agoI don't understand how moving it from (a highly public) R&D to a product division means that we'll be hearing less.
- lnanek2 12y agoThis was sort of a public beta, like GMail. A product division won't show it to anyone until it is done. Maybe even hide it in a fake casing like so many phones.
- owenwil 12y agoGoogle is scaling back its plans while it works on new designs and ways of presenting the product to avoid what happened with the Glass program.
