Adopting Angular 2.0 would require them to allocate massive amounts of budget to rewriting code that already works. I really wish the team would rename "Angular 2.0" to "Angular for ES6". This would make the rebuttal to this point painfully obvious - one day most ES5 code will need to be rewritten / re-architected for ES6 anyway. The cost of rewriting everything is not just for upgrading a framework from 1.0 to 2.0, but to use a (then) modern language.
