- wheels 17y agoAm I the only one that finds "cute" things so often at the top of HN bothersome? This is basically the nerdy equivalent of lolcats.

- ComputerGuru 17y agoNot really. I find that almost all the "fluff" stories on HN are fluff depending on how you look at them. You could view this as a lesson waiting to be learned, an experiment pending its results... If FOSS were marketed in this manner, who's to say it wouldn't have a more "human" feel?
- pyre 17y agoAs opposed to distributing FOSS Party kits to encourage users to have FOSS Launch Date Parties? (ala Windows 7 Parties) Or having obviously stock photos of people all gathered around a computer screen with creepily huge smiles on their faces?

- byrneseyeview 17y ago"I need a break from thinking about code. I'll go to a website that's mostly about code!" If you need a break, take it -- don't wait for someone to hand it to you.
