Disclaimer: maybe I'm not the target audience of this letter. What a terrible letter. Hemingway grade is "20, bad". 451 words, but the only hint what the authors wants is "We recommend expanded research aimed at ensuring that increasingly capable AI systems are robust and beneficial: our AI systems must do what we want them to do ... In summary, we believe that research on how to make AI systems robust and beneficial is both important and timely, and that there are concrete research directions that can be pursued today." But, reading this, I just think, "Sure, that sounds good." There's an attachment (which I won't read), but it would have been nice if the original document contained some information what the point of this is so I'm motivated to read it.
