- danielweber 12y ago15 years ago $1200-$1500 was what me and friends got at MIT. (And in many ways I was living like a king.)
- omilu 12y agoSame for me, but at a different university. School was free, good stipend, and free housing cause i was also an RA (not normally allowed but they let me do it). Living like a king is an apt description. Best 5 years of my life, without question.
- Chronic30 12y agoI heard Stanford gives a (pre-tax) monthly stipend of $4k to their graduate students.
- DaveWalk 12y agoIt's always low, with a strict limit set by the NIH, and schools have a tiny bit of wiggle room. For example, a stipend in NYC is the biggest nationwide[1], but that's mostly cost of living. 1500-1800 was common at the schools in the mid atlantic that I knew of recently.
