Maybe it's stating the obvious here, but the article is both satire and a few months old (May 2014). Though maybe the casual techie/music listener might plausibly imagine that a DJ might lose a thumbdrive containing their entire set, hence the entertainment factor with this article... I'd like to imagine that big acts with huge productions have slightly more technologically capable people supporting them, and that those people might be backup savvy.
