What are the existing products this will compete with?
- mschuster91 12y agoFor the media enthusiasts, likely the Chromecast and I believe Amazon also offers a HDMI stick computer.
- brianbreslin 12y agoroku also has one. there was an open source one announced here on HN last week.

- notduncansmith 12y agoIt doesn't seem like it's really competing with the Chromecast. My impression was that the Compute Stick can actually run software by itself, not requiring a connection to another device.

- Narishma 12y agoIn the past couple of years there have been dozens of similar products based on ARM SoCs out there.
- rab_oof 12y agoYup. If any of this class of product were any good, we'd be using them right now. And even if Intel produced the best of breed, how much computing power can be wringed out of the power supplied by USB (say 10W max, which is generous)? Not much. (This product line is DOA.)
- lmedinas 12y agoIn my opinion this will compete more with the RPI kind of market and also USB sticks. Basically one can use this as a "more functional" USB Storage.
