Dunno how tongue-in-cheek you're being, but as a Minnesotan my perspective is that people in warmer parts of the country truly cannot fathom enduring our winters. Which is a point of view that many of us here actively encourage, but even so, its deterrence value is puzzling considering the other quality-of-life arguments.
