To the extent that anything is "wrong" with OOP, it is encapsulated (!) well by the Reactive Manifesto [1]. The global computing paradigm is outgrowing the domains where OOP is useful. And I'm pretty sure that if you look closely enough, there will be OOP under the hood of a great many systems for a long time to come.
