That is correct, in the abstract. There can be programs written in both C and Java that do the same thing. The question is then: if people are writing programs in Java, what is the cause, what is making that happen?
- jghn 12y agoPresumably the cause is that their boss told them to use Java. Now why did their boss tell them that ... Often these decisions have all sorts of legacy issues involved which don't make the real reasons all that clear cut - and if one were to really dig back the initial answer is likely "because that's what people say we're supposed to use"
