Could Bill Gates write code?
- ivankirigin 19y agoI've heard anecdotes from Microsoft of some new employees challenging Bill on some obscure tech, only to be out done.
- henning 19y agoHe's very good at acting like he's isolated and far away from the code - he puts his hands together and talks using the typical pundit bullshit phrases: "what we're seeing more and more is a shift towards...". It's all an act, like the President pretending he's a Texas cowboy when he went to Harvard and Yale.
- DarrenStuart 19y agoSeems like the wildwest of coding back then. I love reading this stuff. If you are into the history of computing check out Steven Levy's books, http://www.stevenlevy.com/ http://www.stevenlevy.com/ I have read hackers and crypto and they were decent reads.
- raheemm 19y agoThat does not prove BG wrote the code - perhaps Allen wrote those "brilliant" parts. Did they comment out which parts each one wrote?
- eusman 19y agoThe code for the program was left mostly up to Bill Gates while Paul Allen began working on a way to simulate the Altair with the schools PDP-10
- lowfat 19y agoYeah - if he is such a great coder - why does his software suck?
