$9 for a screencast?

• billturner 17y ago
$9 for a single screencast is a little pricey, but over a year ago I bought the one-year option, and don't regret it at all. They're all high quality and worth it, I think. But, they haven't added enough new screencasts to make it worth me renewing since my subscription lapsed.

<disclaimer> I wrote a screencast aggregator http://www.learnivore.com http://www.learnivore.com </disclaimer> The PeepCode casts (or PDF, like the ThinkingSphinx one specifically) I watched myself were extremely useful in my opinion (and totally worth 9$, if you ask me). I've exchanged a lot about screencasts with people this year (building the aggregator), and it really looks like there is a kind of split between people: those who think 9$ is totally worth it, and those who would never pay 9$ for it :) Interesting psychological pricing question I guess.
