Is that to suggest that regulated banks (or any kind of government-regulated institutions) don't ever rip people off or otherwise engage in criminal or fraudulent activity? Or is your point that this type of corruption is innate to any system involving humans? I for one am just interested in its potential as a technology foremost; this isn't about mistrust of the government for me.
