Rotten Tomatoes is pretty horrible for determining if a movie is worth seeing.
- curiously 12y agoI do have to agree but most of the times it is pretty accurate sentiment. It seems like the closer the ratings get to 50%, the more unreliable the reviews are. I use that as a point of measure.
- tim333 12y agoI'm guessing "Stars Episode III" is Star Wars Episode III? As far as I can see they give Star Wars III 80% and The Shining 92% which is more like a 12% difference by my calculation. The tomatometer is just an indication of whether the critics liked the movie really. The Shining gets 4/5 from audience while SW III gets 3.1/5 which I'd translate as pretty good and mediocre respectively. Probably not to far off. The Interview is looking pretty mediocre from the reviews but I look forward to seeing it anyway.
