As someone that took a degree because the "adults" then forced me to, and spent years of my life just to pay it, totalling 10 years wasted (I am 26 today, and I my assets are the same as they were when I was 16, and soon I will have less than what I had when I was 16 because I am unemployed). My parents, and the academia, school teachers, all lied to me, they told me that getting a degree was a good thing. It is not, it basically fucked up my life so far. If I could go back in time only once to give me a single advice, it would be to tell my 18 year old self to get a job and skip college, or get into a trade school.
