Another great mitm proxy is Charles Proxy http://www.charlesproxy.com/ http://www.charlesproxy.com/.
It has a really nice UI for looking at JSON responses such as the Kayak. Sometimes a collapsible tree is invaluable in looking through a response.
The easy filtering and formatting is primarily why I like it so much. Here is how it handles SSL for various ways http://www.charlesproxy.com/documentation/using-charles/ssl-certificates/ http://www.charlesproxy.com/documentation/using-charles/ssl-...
Here is a screen shot of my iPhone Kayak app request for comparison http://imgur.com/gvKB6fr http://imgur.com/gvKB6fr
- mrbombastic 12y agoI love Charles Proxy, I use it all the time for debugging service issues. Breakpoints and the ability to easily mock responses is really invaluable.
- nnd 12y agoHow is it better than mitmproxy? Also, it's not free/open-source.
- brad0 12y agoIn this case you get what you pay for. You get filtering. Local and remote mapping. SSL decryption. Request and response detail views. Breakpoints. The list goes on. Seriously, it's the best $50 I spent as part of my developer toolkit.
