How can I get an internship in Silicon Valley?

Undergraduate CS major here at a state school not particularly known for CS. I'm passionate about programming and building things and have built things myself. My current focus is implementing Abstract Data Structures in C, specifically avoiding C++, so I can understand low level implementation details. I really want to move to CA after college, but also want to get an internship before I graduate.
