Whether or not NK can attack an American theater isn't really the issue (they can't). What was accomplished was planting the seed that something could happen at a theater if the movie was released. I could easily see some nutcase acting on his own behalf attacking a screening of the movie, and then the fallout from "Sony was warned and they showed the movie anyway!!!" would be massive. Honestly, I would've made the same call.
