Not authoritarian attitudes per se, but propensity to internalize the sense that one ought to behave as if one is being watched because A.) it's likely that it may very well be true and B.) the punishment / reward structure in place is both justified and aligned with overseen personal choices. It would be interesting to see if this toy specifically correlates with these feelings (would be a hard multi-decade study to design...) but I do think there is the point to be made at large that we exist in a surveillance state, and in fact that since at least the 1700s these forces have been very powerful in shaping Western culture.
