- scoot 12y agoLEGO
- tomjakubowski 12y agoRelax - no need to be rediculous or a pendant. It's obvious what is meant by "legos," particularly in context.
- scoot 12y agoIt may look like shouting, but the brand-name is upper-case singular. I was almost more surprised that the OP uses the name correctly, as the transliteration of LEGO to legos is as common in North American English as Los Angeles is to the awful 'Los Angelease' in the typical British pronunciation.
- inopinatus 12y agoThe vernacular continues to hoover up brand names.
- raldi 12y agoHe's just trying to put a band-aid on the problem.
- pantalaimon 12y agoMore like brand-aid?
- _delirium 12y agoI don't think people outside the company commonly write it as LEGO even in its native Denmark. Just spot-checking at one of the major newspapers: https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=site%3Apolitiken.dk%20lego https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=site%3Apolitiken.dk%20...
- vacri 12y agoGiven that Lego is not an acronym (it's a mangled contraction), there's no particular rule to say that this one brand name gets special treatment. For example, we don't use CHANEL for Chanel, despite their trademark always being in capitals.
- tomjakubowski 12y agoI'm not sure that North American English speakers should be throwing stones about the pronunciation of El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula. ;)

- sohkamyung 12y agoNot quite what you mean, but this is still fun. JK Brickworks on a LEGO particle accelerator [ http://jkbrickworks.com/lego-particle-accelerator/ http://jkbrickworks.com/lego-particle-accelerator/ ], the LEGO particle being accelerated here is a LEGO soccer ball.
