I feel like there's a small misunderstanding here: I'm not criticizing Koreans here. I'm sure their understanding of this is more nuanced than I'm describing from second hand accounts. I just think it makes an interesting parallel.
- jrs99 12y agoWell if, like you say, all koreans believe that a fan "chops up" air molecules (maybe they all believe the blades of fans chop up CO2 into CO) then they really need to be criticized. I agree with you that its an absolute shock that they believe this. It is definitely one of the crazier beliefs a modernized population can have, and I admit that I believe a staff can be turned into a snake.
