I have not done any research, but this does not match my experience in tech companies. Some of the best programmers I have worked with were left-handed and were definitely making more than the average at the company. There also seems to be fairly high percentage of left-handed programmers in general. However, I'm left-handed myself, so I might be noticing patterns, where there are none.

- curiouslurker 12y agoSame experience. 4 out 7 of my CS professors were left handed and some of the smartest people in their field.
- bradleyland 12y agoThe plural of anecdote is not data. The results of the research conducted do not dictate that left-handed people must be inferior, it only presents the findings that statistically, those traits were present in the sample. It is entirely possible for you to have had great experiences with lefties, and the findings stated in the article to be true. The findings in the article are also not a good reason to discriminate against left-handed people.
