I vaguely remember something called Boo.com that tried to sell t-shirts. From what I recall, they warmed their offices by burning money in gold fireplaces and insisted on traveling by elephant. Of course these days that kind of behaviour is considered showy and inefficient and so the investor's cash is now spent on social media campaigns instead, which is a much more direct method of achieving the same result.
