I have seen many tragic headlines of late, and, for me, this is one of the most tragic.
- Arnt 12y agoYou might want to read Better Angels by Steven Pinker, which argues quite convincingly that things are getting better overall. "The news you recently read sticks in the mind, the worse news from long ago doesn't" etc. You may or may not be persuaded about all he says, but the book definitely helps build resistance to tragic headlines.
