(insert random number) of gender nonsense on HN. I'm not trying to "harass a woman." I don't care about sex, gender, or what-not. Just pay your cabbies fairly, and don't lie about the fact that they're cabbies.

Because his/her/its username was designed to call attention to being female and involved with movies. If I chose the username "whitenerdyguy" (which I am), I would expect some flack about it.
