I love to work on things that interest me, like coding up a back-end for a site. If it's interesting, I start thinking about solutions, I get in the zone automatically and just code away. Be careful to not overdo it by having balance between hacking (analytical) and dreaming (creative), lest you get burned-out, in which case concentration becomes impossible. my 2cents
