You sure there isn't something in the wavs like a creation date field that would always cause the checksum to be different? That would make way more sense than "vibration"....
- Wicher 12y agoI did check by diffing the RIFF headers. Here's some info on the metadata: https://ccrma.stanford.edu/courses/422/projects/WaveFormat/ https://ccrma.stanford.edu/courses/422/projects/WaveFormat/ . There's little to no room for variance.
- aidenn0 12y agoFYI the difference is almost certainly due to the seeks not being sample-accurate, so your rips are bit identical for each sample, but you are starting in very slightly different places. Either that or you have a really broken CD-ROM drive (which is also possible).
