I didnt directly experience a death until my 40s. When I've talked about I've run into even older people that have not directly experienced a death. We live in age-stratified communities where death happens infrequently to young adults. And we have a modern health system which has made death rare among younger people. I had to be a care-giver for a few months. I learned a lot about peole and medicine and dont regret it a bit.
