I'd rather live someplace for an extended period of time than "travel". When you're in some place for a day, you can write paragraphs about your actions. When you're in a place for a week, you write fewer paragraphs about the memorable experiences. When you're in a place for a year, you write nothing at all, but you learn to think and live differently. It's a hell of a lot harder than jetting away for a weekend though.
