I don't see why Facebook ever let unpaid ads be posted in the first place. The reason Facebook is able to be free is due to 2 things: users giving up data in exchange for the service being free and paid ads from businesses. That being said, if you're so reliant on Facebook for your advertising moreso than other channels then you need to reevaluate your marketing plan and diversify.
