The biggest gating factor in making Kindle available internationally is having to partner with local wireless operator for connectivity. Availability of country-specific Amazon stores have little to do with it IMHO.
- dchest 17y agoThe thing is, they ship even to countries without wireless connectivity (e.g. Belarus). You have to use your computer to make purchases there. The reason I though why local Amazon stores are deciding factor is that they already know the market there, have presence, etc.
