The amount of time it takes to keep up with all of the changes big sites make is impressive. At some point I decided to write something similar in Ruby ( https://github.com/rb2k/viddl-rb https://github.com/rb2k/viddl-rb ) and I'm kind of ashamed of how broken things are from time to time. Video hosting sites don't have APIs and reverse engineering the sources for the videos is like shooting at a moving target. So kudos for leading that project :)
