Yeah, I see these things rolling out as fine-grained additions to buses. Public transport in the U.S. sucks unless you live in the cities..it sucks in the suburbs too. I see self-driving taxis coming first, on "battle-tested" roads. You might have to walk a few blocks still, but it will be much more convenient than public transport is now.
