The whole point of the phrase FUD is that it's an emotional response. People use it to try to overwhelm someone's rational thought process with Fear. I think you SHOULD use past performance of a corporation as part of a rational thought process in deciding whether to use software. But FUD is never justified because emotion has no place in rational decisions.
