It's almost impossible to go over the handlebars on a Dutch bike. I've done it. I was cycling slowly along the road, and my front wheel went into a drain-grate that had been mistakenly oriented with bars parallel to the road. I landed on my head, had a sore neck for a while, replaced my helmet, and was glad I had been wearing one.
