Is it really? Finance the most likely aggressor (Germany), don't fight for them. Then be of no strategic importance for any other invading army. No one wants to march their army over the alps to get somewhere.
- ajarmst 12y agoDon't forget "be armed to the teeth and express a willingness to violently respond to any intrusion into your territory". It's pretty much standard lex talionis strategy, which has been around as long as humans have formed groups.
