All excellent pointers... thanks for the insight. I have to admit I'm a total js newbie. jQuery makes it seem easy to pick up, but I know that if I had to do much outside of it I'd be lost. I'm actually really surprised how powerful it seems. All that passing around of functions as data makes it fun to work with.
